Laura Baker Furniture

Furniture Designer & Builder Extraordinaire

Traditional Craftsmanship, Modern Design

Laura grew up with a love for lumber and handmade furniture; began building with her grandfather at a very young age. At the age of two she started helping her grandfather handpick lumber in the local Ohio Amish lumber yards, and at the age of three she built a cutting board out of walnut and ash that is still used daily.

Although Laura's furniture is typically much more modern than her grandfather's, it's still built with the same techniques and quality craftsmanship learned while training with her grandfather.

Laura graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Furniture Design and built a workshop in sunny Jacksonville, Florida.
